1. Outdoor Storage (Enclosures)
Quick question about trash...
Currently, trash can placement like this is allowed in the covenants (just inside the garage).
To keep the neighborhood looking nicer, here is one option:
Ban visible trash cans, and
Allow compact, nice-looking enclosures to store trash cans.
This would give no excuse for leaving trash cans outside, and it would especially help families with 3-4 kids who need more storage space.
What rules do you recommend?
2. Outdoor Storage (Sheds)
The recent Shed Amendment proposed was NOT restrictive enough.
Many neighbors have said they would have signed it if the wording was stricter and more specific to protect property values.
What shed rules do you recommend?
Should we re-vote on sheds?
In the recent shed vote, only 160 total votes were counted out of 271 total homes in the neighborhood. Many didn't realize the vote was happening, and some attempted votes were not counted. The board announced that some ballots were "submitted without a selection of yes/no" or "submitted by homeowners who were ineligible to vote." As of July 1, 2026, Indiana law states it only takes 2/3 of homeowners (181) to agree to allow sheds.

It's overwhelming. Not everyone has kids/grandkids in the neighborhood, and are many young residents who are capable of helping. We'd like to see neighbors getting tech support from friendly neighbors... Instead of calling big companies and waiting on hold for hours!
